So, here’s a bit about me: my pronouns are she/her and I currently reside the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I have a Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in community centered integrative practice from the University of Washington. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington state and have about 8 years of experience in the social work field, 4 years of that being in direct therapeutic clinical practice. I often get asked what’s the difference between an LICSW and other mental health provider licenses? The short answer is not too much! Myself and my peers from other educational backgrounds all utilize similar interventions, trainings, and standards for care. As a Social Worker specifically, I am trained to explore my client’s needs within their individual, community and societal environments. Additionally, Social Workers place utmost importance on individual and social advocacy and emphasize their client’s self-determination. Prior to entering into private practice, I worked in a community mental health setting serving children, youth, and family. I also have experience working with individual adults, couples, LGBTQ+ community members, and those whom experience neurodivergency. Outside of my professional life, I live a lifestyle that attempts to balance family and routine with my deep love of exploration and gathering with my community.
